For our introduction into this course, we were tasked with dissecting a light fixture and drawing out its different parts as detailed as possible. My partner and I choose an old electric chandelier for our light piece.

The light was incredibly old and the materials used for the piece were severely outdated, so it was unsafe for us to turn the light on. However, we were still able to take apart the fixture and look at how the wiring and mechanics of the piece functioned.

This was a very visual project, as most of it involved closely observing how the light fixture physically worked. This project was helpful when thinking about the lighting and mechanics of our final project.
